Veona M. Harvey

Veona M. Harvey, 87, formerly of Lincoln, NE., died December 27, 2002, at Aberdeen, South Dakota. Memorial services will be Saturday, January 4, 2003, at 3 p.m. at Providence Presbyterian Church in Fairfax, Virginia. Private family inurnment will be at a later date at Lincoln, Nebraska. Curran Funeral Chapel is in charge of local arrangements.

Veona was born November 19, 1915, at Dannebrog, Nebraska, the daughter of Jens & Pauline (Nelson) Appel.

Survivors of the immediate family is her husband Milroy Harvey of Aberdeen, SD.
Four Sons: Jack & Sharon Harvey of Lincoln, NE.

One Daughter: Lynn & Tom Package of Annandale, VA.
One Brother: David & Eileen Appel of Council Bluffs, IA.
Two Sisters: Margaret Ann Kontos of Buena Vista, CO
...Mayme Appel of Grand Island, NE.

Other survivors of the immediate family include numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren.

She graduated from Dannebrog High School in 1933. She received her certificate from St. Paul Business College in 1935. She was employed with the Civil Service Commission for 2 years. She married Milroy Harvey on March 7, 1937. They lived in Lincoln, Nebraska and she was employed at Safeway Stores and later with the Dorsey Laboratories in the Production Control Department. She enjoyed camping.

Preceded in death by her parents, One grandson Matt and One granddaughter Missy.
