Norma Jeppesen

ST. PAUL -- Norma Jeppesen, 92, of St. Paul died Friday, Jan. 16, 1998, at Park Place Health Care and Rehab Center in Grand Island.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Jacobsen Funeral Home in St. Paul. The Rev. Lavern Larkowski will officiate. Burial will be in the Nysted Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the family.

Mrs. Jeppesen was born on Oct. 11, 1905, to Louis and Lydia (Hansen) Petersen. She grew up in the Dannebrog area and attended District 17 School at Nysted.

She married Knud Jeppesen on March 21, 1924, at Loup City. The couple lived in Dannebrog and then near Nysted, where they farmed. Mr. Jeppesen died on July 20, 1943. Mrs. Jeppesen then worked at Grandview College in Des Moines, Iowa. She retired in 1962 and moved to Parkside Plaza in St. Paul.

She was a past member of the Nysted Evangelical Church.

Survivors include one son, Ken of Grand Island; one daughter, Jean (Mrs. Archie) Cornelius of Grand island; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Herluf Petersen and an infant brother, Norton.
