Hans Lauritsen

DANNEBROG -- Hans N. Lauritsen, 91, of Dannebrog died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 1999, at Howard County Community Hospital in St. Paul.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Dannebrog. The Rev. Robert Carlson Jr. officiated. Burial was in the Loup Fork Cemetery near Boelus. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Jacobsen Funeral home in St. Paul.

Memorials are suggested to the Howard County Hospital.

Mr. Lauritsen was born Nov. 20, 1907, at Dannebrog to Thomas F. and Stine (Steffensen) Lauritsen. He grew up near Dannebrog and attended rural school District 74 near Dannebrog. After his education, he began farming in the Dannebrog area and continued to farm all of his life. He also raised cattle.

He retired in the late 1970s. In June 1994, he moved to the extended care wing of Howard County Hospital.

He enjoyed blue rock shooting and sightseeing.

He was a past member of the Dannebrog Country Club.

Survivors include one brother, Ray of Dannebrog and two nephews.
