-- Elaine Grim, 72, of Dannebrog died Tuesday, January 06, 2004 in Dannebrog.
Services
will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Dannebrog. The
Rev. Robert Carlson Jr. will officiate.
Burial
will be in the Oakridge Cemetery in Dannebrog.
Visitation
will be from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Jacobsen-Greenway
Funeral Home in St. Paul.
Mrs.
Grim was born April 3, 1931, in rural Dannebrog to Gustav and Dora (Becker)
Lemburg.
She
was preceded in death by husband Arnold on June 10, 1999.
Survivors
of the immediate family include three sons and one daughter-in-law, Larry and
Susan Grim of San Diego, Kelly Grim of Lincoln, and Harry Grim of Twin Bridges,
Mont; three daughters and sons-in-law, Paula and David Snider of Dannebrog,
Mary and Neal Trentman of Yutan, and Sherry and Tom Moore of Grand Island; one
sister, Lois Drake of New Johnsonville, Tenn.; two brothers, Mervin Lemburg of
Mesa, Ariz., and Lowen Lemburg of Palmer; and a daughter-in-law, Beth Cumming of
Dannebrog.
Also
surviving are 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She
attended school at District No. 16 near Dannebrog and then Grand Island Senior
High School, where she graduated in 1947. She then worked at St. Francis
Hospital for a short time.
She
was united in marriage to Arnold Grim on Feb. 28, 1949, in Denver. The couple
lived all of their married life in Dannebrog. She worked for Our Saviour's
Lutheran Church for 43 years. She enjoyed cleaning houses for different people
for many years.
She
enjoyed being with her family and friends. Her hobbies included fishing,
camping, boating, embroidery, gardening and poetry. She was also active in the
Red Cross by donating blood and taking her children to swimming lessons.
She
was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church and the Lois Church Circle of
Dannebrog. She was a longtime fireman's wife.
She
was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arnold; two daughters,
Shelly Harders and an infant daughter, Jewell; two brothers, Leroy and Willis
Lemburg; two infant brothers; and one sister, Phyllis Vogel.
Memorials
are suggested to the church.
