Bev was born August 13, 1941, at Dannebrog, to Alvin and Florence (Oliver) Kroeger. She graduated from Dannebrog High.

She married Richard Gowlovech on August 1, 1959, in Grand Island. Because Richard was in the Marine Corps, the family traveled to various cities in the United States. After his discharge, the family moved to Scottsbluff for several years, before moving to Grand Island, where she worked for Century 21 real estate. Later they started the Double Crown Construction Co. along with some friends. She became the bookkeeper for her husband's construction business.

All the time Beverly lived in Grand Island, she was the administrative assistant for the City of Grand Island Finance Dept. They moved to Republican City in 1984. Her two dog companions, Fudge and Foxie, were always by her side. She was a member of the Grand Island Saddle Club, the Platt Duetsche, and the Grand Island Area Mother Singers. She was instrumental in the passage of the uninsured motorist bill. For the past year and one-half, she has devoted her time to the Red Cross, and just returned from California, where she was working with the forest fires.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Richard, on Feb. 24, 2002.

Memorials are suggested to "Scholarships For Her Grandchildren."
