Agnes Browne
Agnes Browne, 84, of Grand Island died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2001, at Skilled
Care Unit at St. Francis.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Lutheran Church. The Rev. Joel
Schroeder will officiate. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral
Home.
Memorials are suggested to the church.
Mrs. Browne was born Dec. 12, 1916, in Hall County to Henry and Martha
(Grotz) Mohr. She attended rural school in Dannebrog.
She married James Browne on Sept. 6, 1939, in Central City. The couple
worked the family farm near Cairo. They moved to Omaha in 1940 followed by
another moved to Nampa, Idaho, before moving to Grand Island in 1989.
She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Ruth A. McGee of Steward, Ill., and Helen
McDonough of Interlaken, N.J.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a
sister, Helen Lykke of Grand Island; and a brother, Earl Mohr of Cairo.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a sister, Erma.
